International Moot Court Competition

news1Foundation Netherlands-Romania has been responsible for organising a group of high-school students who are representing Romania at the International Moot Court 2014, taking place in The Hague between 21and 24 January 2014. The students are coming from Campulung Muscel and are participating to the contest on behalf of our local partner there, the Pedagogical College Carol I.

The competition affords high school students from all over the world an exceptional opportunity to argue at The Hague, to develop in-depth knowledge of the International Criminal Court, to gain a heightened respect for international criminal law and to enjoy the opportunity to exchange ideas with students from other countries.

The International Moot Court was developed by the Justice Resource Center (JRC) Inc., in New York, in partnership with the Department of Education of the Municipality of The Hague, and in conjunction with the International Bar Association (IBA-England).

The Romanian group has been enjoying the support of the TAROM Romanian Airlines.
